Is Cabinet Refacing The Right Kitchen Renovation For Me?
In many instances, a home’s current kitchen cabinets are structurally sound. The actual issue is that they look outdated or worn on the surface. It’s the PRESENTATION that needs an upgrade—not the underlying framework.

What Makes Addison Unique?
Addison is a gorgeous village that is close enough to Chicago to make the commute short, but far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle of the city. Known as the Village of Friendship, Addison is an excellent place to live or visit. It’s in DuPage County and has a population of approximately 40,000 residents. It has plenty of unique boutiques and shops, as well as many things to do every day of the week. In addition, Addison is a village that has a storied history. There is truly something for everyone in this diverse community!
History Of Addison
The first Euro-American settlers to arrive in the area that would become Addison were Hezekiah Dunklee and Mason Smith. They surveyed the area in September of 1833. Dunklee ended up settling in a grove nearby that became known as Dunklee’s Grove. By 1834, groups of German immigrants would start to settle the area as well. The area had plenty of water and lumber for the settlers, and most required provisions could be created on the farms. However, they couldn’t make some things, so trips to Chicago were still required. It was an 18-mile trip that was traveled on foot. In 1839, Dunklee’s Grove became a part of the Washington Precinct, and 10 years later it became a township. However, they named the town Addison.
In 1884, the village of Addison became fully incorporated. At that time the population was merely 400 people. Then, in 1890, a railroad track was built in Addison. The ease of access to Chicago and the rest of the outside world made living in Addison much easier. In addition, it also caused the population to begin to grow faster. In the late 1800s and early 1900s, there was a multitude of technological advancements that made their way to Addison. Soon, the village had telephones, paved roads, a bank, lines of electricity as well as electric street lamps. Addison’s next large improvement came after WWII when the whole country went into a time of peace and prosperity. Addison grew exponentially and has since been an incredible home to a wonderful community.
