Refacing your cabinets will cost you much more budget-friendly than cabinet replacement and full kitchen remodeling. And if you watch to stretch your dollars even further, check out our excellent financing and specials!

How Long Will It Take To Reface My Kitchen Cabinets?

Just a few days, even for substantially sized kitchens. This makes cabinet refacing much more convenient than cabinet replacement and full kitchen remodeling, which can take weeks to months.

Even with large kitchens, cabinet refacing can be done in just a few days. Compare that to the MONTHS it can take kitchen remodeling, and you’ll appreciate how convenient refacing is.

Do You Offer Other Kitchen Upgrades In Addition To Cabinet Refacing?

Yes, we do! While we’re restyling your cabinets, we can perform any of the following to your kitchen…

  • Handle minor reconfigurations
    • Sliding drawers
    • Pull-out drawers
    • Pull-out trash caddies
    • Lazy Susans
    • And more!

Is Cabinet Refacing The Right Kitchen Renovation For Me?

In many instances, a home’s current kitchen cabinets are structurally sound. The actual issue is that they look outdated or worn on the surface. It’s the PRESENTATION that needs an upgrade—not the underlying framework.

If that’s the case with your kitchen cabinets, cabinet refacing is a fantastic option. It requires substantially less time and cost than full-scale kitchen remodeling. It’s also much more cost-effective and quicker than actually replacing your cabinets.

History Of Batavia

In 1833 Christopher Payne and his family settled Batavia. The town was originally called Big Woods because of the wild growth throughout the settlement. However, a local judge and former Congressman, Isaac Wilson, renamed the town after his former home of Batavia, New York, in 1840. Because Judge Wilson owned the majority of the town, he had permission to rename the city.

The city’s settlement was delayed by one year due to the Black Hawk War. During this time, Abraham Lincoln was a citizen soldier, and Zachary Taylor and Jefferson Davis were Army officers. There are writings by Lincoln that refer to “Head of the Big Woods,” which was Batavia’s original name. However, other than that there is no direct proof of Lincoln, Taylor, or Davis visiting the area that would become Batavia.

The city was incorporated on July 27, 1872. After the death of her husband, Mary Todd Lincoln became an involuntary resident of the Batavia Institute on May 20, 1875. At that time, the institute was known as Bellevue Place and it was a sanitarium for women. Four months later on September 11, 1875, Mrs. Lincoln was released.

In the late 19th century, Batavia was a major manufacturer of Conestoga wagons, which were used in the country’s westward expansion. Into the early 20th century, most of the windmill-operated water pumps in use by America’s farms were made at one of three windmill manufacturing companies in Batavia.

Many of the limestone buildings from these factories remain in use as government and commercial offices, and storefronts. A power plant in southern Batavia was constructed by the Aurora Elgin and Chicago Railway and added a branch to the city in 1902. The Campana Factory was built in 1936 to manufacture cosmetics for The Campana Company, particularly Italian Balm, which was the nation’s best-selling hand lotion at that time.
